Can i tow a small popup camper with the 2011 CRV trailer hitch? Say like 2,500lbs?

Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13555 that fits your 2011 Honda CR-V has a capacity of 3,500 lbs, so yes, the hitch can certainly handle a 2,500 lb camper. However, I looked in the online version of your CR-V's owner's manual and it has a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 lbs so you would need to stay under that weight.
If you do plan on towing, then for a trailer wiring harness you would need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118427.
I have added links to video installs on a 2011 CR-V for you to check out of the harness and Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13555.
