Question:
Hey there, I was wondering why I cant use the Yakima BackSwing with my existing 1.25inch Thule Helium 3 fitted with either a metal 2inch to 1.25inch adapter or the one that attaches to the end of the bike rack? I keep seeing that only a 2inch rack would work with this 2inch swing adapter but Id rather not upgrade both the rack and the swing arm. Thanks,

Yakima has stated that the BackSwing part # y02483 can only be used with bike racks that were only designed to fit the 2 inch hitches as they have a shank that is just a little more reinforced. In your situation the best solution would be a swinging bike rack like the Thule Apex Swing # TH9027XT so that you wouldn't have to buy the rack and the swing accessory separately.
I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well.
