The Malone Bike Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # MPG2165 will work well with your Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack # Y02637. An adapter bar simply creates a top frame rail between the seat post and the handlebars on step-thru style frames to give you a level transport. It isn't a requirement for most bikes but it does help balance your rack better, give you better sightlines, and at times help with ground clearance.
