Question:

I have a 2016 Toyota Rav4 with raised rails much like the one shown in the Etrailer video for the Thule Wingbar Evo part TH711420. The video shows 53inch crossbars. Do you recommend this size over the 47 or 50 inch bars? Originally I thought about getting 50inch bars, but now Im having doubts after watching the video. The 53inch bars look nice, but they hang over the sides quite a bit. Is this how theyre meant to look? Are there disadvantages to the smaller sizes? Im curious why you showed the 53inch instead of the 50inch bars. Also, for some reason the 50inch bars part TH711320 appear as not confirmed to fitinch my vehicle, whereas the 47inch and 53inch bars are confirmed to fit. I would guess thats an error, but it may be casting some doubts on my decision. Thank you.

You are correct that the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars 50" part # TH711320, 47" bars part # TH711220 and the 53" part # TH711420 will all work on your 2016 Toyota RAV4 with the raised factory side rails. To accomplish this the Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 are the feet to use. They will grab securely to the side rails making a nice solid roof rack.

I personally like to have as long of a crossbar as possible to accommodate as many accessories as possible but this is really up to the end user. Some folks like a cleaner look for the system rather than having one that has a ton of stuff on it.
