The most important factor to consider when choosing a weight distribution system is knowing the tongue weight of your trailer when it is fully loaded and ready to tow. The weight distribution systems that we carry will list a tongue weight range. You will want to choose a system that has a tongue weight range that encompasses the fully loaded tongue weight of your trailer.
Choosing a weight distribution system that is too heavy or too light for the tongue weight of your trailer will not improve your ride quality or reduce sag like a properly rated system will. If the gross trailer weight of your 2002 Coleman Utah is approximately 3,500 lbs, then the Curt Weight Distribution System, # C17322, will likely be too heavy of a system for you.
I have attached two articles for you to review that cover weight distribution systems and how to determine the tongue weight of your trailer.
Once you have determined the tongue weight of your trailer, I would recommend taking a look at our Reese Strait-Line and SC systems. I have attached a link to these systems as well as a link to all of our weight distribution systems for you to check out. I would recommend going with a system that includes sway control for a more comfortable ride.
If you would like to send me the tongue weight of your trailer, then I can make a specific weight distribution system recommendation for you.
