Could Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel be Used to Charge Battery from Tow Vehicle

Question:
Can power be drawn from the car towing the camper to supply the shore power to charge the battery? Could you do this through the bus bar with a 30 amp breaker?

Expert Reply:
The Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger # PD4045KA that you referenced only accepts AC power to then convert to a 12 volt charge for your batteries. You could bypass this and run a charge line from your 7-way to the vehicle battery pretty easily though. This would give you a maintenance charge for it as you are travelling.
