I have Item T43397007K, Could you please recommend the best locking mechanism to avoid theft of my trailer. I have only had it a couple weeks have struggled to find a way to lock this hitch. Thanks

I have a solution but this is not surprising with that style of coupler. There is no good way to lock it.
Thinking a different direction though you could use the etrailer Trailer Wheel Lock part # 288-02020 this will give you the perfect solution for when it is stored or when you are at the launch and out on the boat to prevent theft.
The only time this will not work where a typical hitch pin would is when you are actually driving down the road. Sorry there isn't a typical solution but this will get the job done for you. Check out the linked video I did on it for some more details.
