What Angle Should the Curt Friction Sway Control System Be Installed in Relation to the Trailer

Question:
How high on the A frame of the trailer does the Spacer Plate go. Should it be centered in the A frame or should I make it as level as possible to the ball?

Typically, friction sway control systems like the Curt Friction Sway Control System # 17200 that you referenced will be centered on the trailer frame when installed and that will yield a level installation in relation to angle of the trailer frame and hitch ball. But this all depends on the trailer, I would try to get the sway control system to be at the same angle as the trailer frame for best results.
Check out the installation instructions I attached for this product for you to check out also.
