I have a Perception Kayak-Rambler 13.5 double seat, length 13 6 width 34 weight 78 lbs. I was wondering what is the best roof rack to use with this product. thank you

Since your Perception Kayak-Rambler is a larger kayak I recommend using the Yakima Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # Y04083-04082. This combines the DeckHand and HandRoll carriers so that you get the ease of loading with the rollers but the stability that saddles offer, plus it has a weight capacity of 80 lbs which is perfect for your setup. This kit also comes with everything you need to secure your kayak, although if you aren't able to find good anchor points on your vehicle you can use the Yakima Hood Anchor Set # Y07416.

Another thing to note is that if you have a longer vehicle att the back then you may also want to use a load assist like the Thule Water Slide # TH854 to make loading easier.

If you also need the roof rack crossbar system for your vehicle then I'd recommend using a Yakima setup simply because you can then use their 8-core set # Y07208 so that all of the locks for the kayak carrier and the roof rack are the same. If you let me know the year/make/model of your vehicle I can let you know what the correct parts are for the crossbar system.
