How To Find Correct Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter for 2016 Keystone Cougar 327RES

Question:

I have a 2016 Keystone Cougar mdl#327RES it has the original king pin fifth wheel. I would like to change over to the Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter. I was hoping you could advise on which of your Adapters is a manufacturer approved model

You can use any of the available pin boxes that are designed to fit on your trailer and not void your warranty, but in order to determine which replacement can be used you will need to know which model pin box you currently have on your 2016 Keystone Cougar 327RES- this can be found one of two ways. First, your existing pin box should have a spec sticker on it with a model number of your pinbox; the Reese Goosebox # RP94716-61301 is a direct replacement for Lippert 1716 pin boxes, but there are a number of other possibilities.

If you can't find the model number of your current pin box, you can take some measurements to determine which one will work. I've linked one of our helpful articles that shows how to measure, as well as links to some of the most commonly found pin boxes that come on 5th wheel trailers so that you can cross reference some of the numbers you may encounter on your spec sticker.
