Question:

! have a 2020 Chevy 3500HD with 6-3/4 ft. bed and OEM Prep 5th wheel hitch package. We are looking to purchase a Jayco fith wheel that has a MorRyde rotating pin box which reportedly does not require a slider hitch. After a lot of research, I believe i could use one of the fixed hitches made by BandW Companion or Curt A-series in my truck. Which would you recommend and are there any adapters required for the rotating pin box operation?

For your 2020 Chevy 3500 with OEM 5th wheel prep package pucks, you are correct that you don't want a sliding hitch with the rotating pin box. Out of all the options for the factory pucks, the B&W is by far the customer favorite as well as mine due to the thickness of metal and durability. I recommend getting the Companion # BWRVK3710 unless your trailer is heavier than 20K in which case you would use # BWRVK3715 rated for 25K.

Your MorRyde rotating pin box should have a wedge for your hitch similar to the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels # SWW-06 designed for a Sidwinder or Revolution rotating pin box. Most rotating pin boxes have a universal fit wedge that will work, but a custom wedge will be even better. We don't carry the wedges for the MorRyde pin box.
