Is there a fail safe on these if something were to happen or your battery dies that you can manually unlock the cover?

I spoke with Pop & Lock about the Pop & Lock Power Pop Remote Keyless Entry Kit for Hard Tonneau Covers part # PAL9000 and they informed me that that there isn't a fail safe as that would then create a risk for security. The system requires very little power to operate so the battery would need to be completely dead in order for there to be an issue. Therefore, even if the battery doesn't have enough juice to start the truck it would still likely activate the lock.
