Question:
How do I fasten the bracket with 7/16 screws with the spool on the bracket. Seems hard to get screw and tools underneath black spool. Do I need to remove the spool so I can tighten screws after I drill holes in trailer. If I need to remove spool how do I do that? Do those end caps come off so I can get to spool long center screw? Or is it possible to fasten the ce 32100g with spool on the bracket. Thank you in advance

The CE Smith Spool Roller Assembly for Boat Trailers - Galvanized Steel and Black Rubber - 4" # CE32100G can simply have a pal nut removed to pull out the pin and remove the roller and then install the bracket. Reinstall the pin and roller with the pal nut/cap nut. If you do this carefully it won't damage the pal nut, however if you don't then you can use # CE10801 to replace it.
It is possible to install the unit without removing the roller depending on the angle you use for the hardware.
