Can Peterson Rectangular Clearance Light # M170A Replace Square Clearance Light on Trailer

Question:

Hello, I have a question about item Peterson Piranha LED Clearance or Side Marker Light w/ Reflector - 2 Diodes - Rectangle - Amber Lens - M170A. I currently have a square lens on my utility trailer other than the obvious size difference, am I able to use this lens when replacing both lights? Thanks.

While this light is designed as an exact replacement for a Grote #47853-5 or Optronics #MCL36AS, the Peterson # M170A will work to replace any shape or size clearance light, so it will work for you. You can mount it to your trailer using the included center stud. Alternatively, you can use two #12 screws (available at any local hardware store) to surface mount it on your trailer.
