I have a 1998 pro craft 180 18’ which winch do I need since I can find anything on the old winch more worried about it bolting to existing mount

I did some research on the 1998 18 foot Pro Craft 180 and from what I could find it weighs about 2,090 lbs. If your trailer does not have rollers or wood bunks you will need a winch that is rated for half the weight of the boat.

I recommend the The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL14725 with a 2,000 lb capacity which would be a bit more than you need. The ZINC plating will resist rust and 2 speed operation. It uses a polyester strap for which I recommend part # DL24249 which has a 4,000 lb capacity and is 25 ft long.

I am not able to say if the Dutton-Lainson winch would fit your existing mount. I have attached a diagram of the mounting hole pattern for your reference so you can compare.
