Question:
hello, I have just installed the wet bolts in my trailer. I followed the same way you did on your videos and for some reason when I tighten the nut on the the bolts for the leaf springs the nut stripes before I sink the head of the bolt in all the way. The nuts on the equalizer went in fine with even more pressure. Have you herd of this problem before? now the nuts are striped and I cant get them on or off.

In order to install the Step Wet Bolt part # 34007-187-00 you'll want to take a small socket that sits on top of the bolt head while also clearing the zerk fitting. Then, you can take a hammer and hit the socket to seat the step bolt inside the hanger/shackles. I do not recommend tightening the nut to seat the step bolt as you can strip the nut easily this way.
In order to replace the stripped nuts you'll need to use part # 1137306. Once the step bolt is seated you can tighten the nut just until everything is snug and then another quarter turn.
