Question:
I just purchased the Curt wireless brake controller along with the 4 pole to 7 round and 4 flat adapter C57674. I watched a video of the installation of the adapter but in the video they taped up 2 wires. Its my understanding that one of those wires goes to a conventional brake controller in the cab and wont be needed but the second wire feeds 12v power which will be needed. Is there anywhere to get the 12v power without running a wire from the battery?

The Curt Echo Mobile brake controller # C51180 does need the black wire of the adapter # C57674 ran up to the positive post of your vehicle battery. We can't safely recommend you power it from any other circuit as you may over draw that circuit when towing which would prevent the trailer brakes from working after blowing the fuse.
Routing the power wire up the battery is a bit of a pain but we put together a help article that has some tips on it that I attached to this page for you to check out.
