How do you Adjust The Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter

I bought a 2020 GMC 2500 heavy duty pick up and I put a Demco adapter in the pucks and put my patriot BW trailer hitch in it. I have a eighth of an inch play in the Demco attachment. Do not like the loose fit. Is this normal for this Demco product

With the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter part # DM6333 having an 1/8" of plan is not what you want. There is an adjustment located in the turn handles. I have linked the instructions below where step 2 covers it. Basically there are washers in the turn handles that provide space because all of the trucks are slightly different. You want to adjust this to match your truck. This is only something that you will have to do on the initial setup once you have it set up for your truck you wil be set .
