Can't Get Thule Key To Open Lock On Sears X-Cargo Box

I ordered a replacement key, 2808 and it won’t open.

It looks like you have a X-cargo Sears Sport box which use the Thule keys like what you purchased part # THKEYN2808. The first time the key is used in one of the sears boxes it may need to be inserted into the lock cylinder and then tapped lightly with a hammer to get it to seat. Once you have got the key to fully seat in the lock it should turn for you. You should only have to do this once and is very common with the Sears boxes.
Another possibility is the lock could be sticking after a long time of not being opened. You can use WD40 to loosen the lock up.
