Question:
The description states that the unit has a leg. Does it?

The Trailer Valet # TV94FR trailer jack doesn't feature a drop leg. If you'd be interested in a sidewind jack with a 3K lift capacity, I'd recommend the etrailer branded # TJDA-5000S. The jack offers a total lift of 29 inches. If you'd prefer a top wind jack with a total lift of 28-1/2 inches and a 3K capacity, the Bulldog # BD195318 would be a fine choice. You can view product demonstration videos featuring the # TJDA-5000S and # BD195318 jacks by clicking the provided links.
