We want to add a hitch to our 2015 sonic hatchback for 2 e bikes w. Battery’s will removed from the bikes so about 43 lb per bike Is this a workable solution if so what hitch and rack do you suggest

For a hitch to carry e-bikes at the rear of your 2015 Chevy Sonic I recommend the Draw Tite part # 24878 as it installs easily, is the most concealed, and can be used with the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 that you referenced to carry two e-bikes. This is the best e-bike rack around and only one that will fit Class I hitches like what fit your Sonic so it's the way to go.
