Will the Curt Receiver E-3S Fit my 1978 Chevrolet Truck?

Question:
I have a 78 Chevy truck with a step bumper. the holes measures 8inch on center. I see the holes are 8- 3/4inch on center and oblong on the E3S. Will the E-3S fit my step bumper?

Yes you will have the room that you need on the Curt 2" Trailer Hitch part # E-3S to move those the 3/8" closer in that the 8.75" center to center measurement.
The one issue you may run into would be the powder coat. If you need to you can remove a little bit of the material with a drill or file to get that extra little bit of clearance you need.
