Since they are galvanized, how will that affect welding them on? Often you can grind off some of the coating so they we’ll weld fairly well.

Expert Reply:
You can grind the zinc coating off of the CE Smith Single Axle Trailer Fender # CE17937G to make them safe to weld, or you can mount them using the Mounting Brackets for Trailer Fenders # CE26098G-2 if you want to avoid the welding altogether. You would need 2 brackets for each fender, but if you want to avoid the hassle of grinding off the coating on the fenders this is the best solution for mounting these fenders on your trailer.
