Can Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller be Used with Car Play
Published 04/02/2020 >
Question:
I have a 2017 Ford Transit Wagon with apple car play, which allows me to use the features of my iphone through the stereo/head unit by connecting to the iphones blue tooth. The van has is equipped with a 7 pin connector. I recently bought a 2000# trailer and am looking for a brake controller, but am really not interested in spending much time on installation. If I buy this controller, will I still be able to use carplay? Alternatively, could I use an ipad to control the unit while my passenger is multitasking on the ipad? Thank you,

While the Curt Echo part # C51180 won't integrate into the Car Play of your vehicle it will allow you to use the Car Play and still function as a brake controller. Of if a passenger with an iPad wanted to control the controller they certainly could do that as well.
