How Far Apart Do the Rails Need To Be To Install the Curt A16 5th Wheel Hitch

I am looking to find the dimensions of the curt a16 hitch that are the distance between the standard rails that are fastened to the truck bed. We are getting the rails installed in our Chevy 3500hd and our hitch including the legs will not be delivered unfortunately until the next day after installation. So basically, I’m wondering what the distance measurements are from the front rails to the back rails and also want to make sure the legs would line up correctly. Thanks

In order to install the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16120 you'll need to position the base rails 22" apart on center. That is the distance between the center of the legs front to back. I have attached a photo with the dimensions of the above bed base rails that will fit the Curt A16. The correct base rails are the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails part # C16204.
