Gooseneck Hitch for 2016 Ram 2500 with In-Bed Factory Fifth Wheel Pucks
Question:
I have a 2016 Ram 2500 pickup with the four factory mounting holes for a 5th wheel hitch. I don’t own a 5th wheel, but I do have a livestock trailer with a gooseneck. Unfortunately, my truck does not have the factory hidden gooseneck ball. Is there a gooseneck hitch that will attach to the factory four points of a Ram pickup? Thanks.

To use your fifth wheel pucks for a gooseneck hitch is possible by using an adapter like # RP30154 to provide rails , an adapter like # 16085 and safety chain mounts, part # C16000. This would allow you to pull a gooseneck trailer without installing an underbed hitch, but it's more expensive than installing a hitch like the Curt # C60614 hitch, which will install on the existing cross member under the bed. If you don't already have an in-bed 7-way trailer connector, you can install one using part # 50-97-410. I've linked to installation videos for the hitch and wiring harness I recommended.
