Can Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller C51180 be Used in In-Bed Fifth Wheel/Gooseneck 7-Way
Published 03/21/2020 >
Question:
I have a 2018 Ram 1500 short bed pickup with the Curt in-bed wire connection. I see this has a 3 axis controller so Im assuming itll work just fine in the in-bed plug as well as the 7-way connection above the bumper? Just want to make sure that it will work at a 90 degree angle from the OEM 7-way location. Thanks.

The Curt Mobile Brake Controller part # C51180 that you referenced can work installed in a 5th wheel style 7-way that is at an angle in the truck bed. When Curt designed it they knew there were several different 7-way configurations so they had to make it work in all angles.
