I am still waiting confirmation if the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Item # C56227 is OK for the Nissan Leaf 2020

According to my research it looks like both the 2019 and 2020 Nissan Leaf models use the same OEM tail light part number. Since we know the Curt T-Connector # C56227 will work with the 2019 this means it should work just fine with your 2020 model.

Attached are the installation instructions as well as photos of the connectors if you'd like to double check on your end.

If you don't already have a trailer hitch then the EcoHitch # 306-X7221 is what you need. It has a 2" receiver and a hidden crosstube design so that only the receiver is visible.

Since it sounds like you plan on towing you'll also need a ball mount kit to complete your towing application and for that I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989899 because it includes two ball mounts, both with a 3/4” rise/2” drop, a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You will want to refer to the attached ball mount article to ensure that this kit is correct for your towing application.
