Would the BW patriot Model # RVB 3270 5th wheel hitch fit on a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 8 foot bed

The part # BWRVB3270 is just the slider base of the slider Patriot hitch part # BWRVK3270 which could fit in the bed of your 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 long bed as long as you had a standard set of fifth wheel rails installed.
Which for that you'd just need the part # BWRVR3200 and you'd be set. Since you have a long bed truck you really wouldn't need a slider hitch since the slider hitches are designed to give better turning clearance. A better option would be the fixed Patriot part # BWRVK3255 or if you have a Patriot slider hitch already you could just swap out the slider base to a fixed base with the part # BWRVB3255 and you'd be set.

Would it hurt to have the sliding hitch BWR3270 with my long bed i know I wouldn’t need it but I found a really good deal on the Whole unit rails brackets and everything included guy only wants 500 i just need to know if it would work in my truck
