Question:

I am considering the options for my 2018 honda accord HYBRID regarding extra cargo. Besides the roof racks, I am looking for a Hitch which is a cargo box, but I see that many require Class II or higher hitches. I have seen your guidance on a bicycle rack but this is a class II question for the hitch that would fit. I am reasonably handy but have no idea about the structural integrity of the points for a hitch or a roof rack for cargo in this hybrid. If you think this is crazy or just want to educate me, you can also tell me about both hitch and roof cargo concepts.

Since there are only Class I hitches that fit your 2018 Honda Accord you'd be best served with a roof rack and cargo box for extra cargo space that's still protected.

For a roof rack the Yakima JetStream rack part numbers # Y00425, # Y28TR, # Y06123, and # Y06159 is a really solid choice that's high quality, easy to install, and has a bar shape that does great with wind noise. See attached install video link for this rack on a 2018 Accord just like yours as well.

Then for a cargo box with similar cargo space we have the Yakima Rocketbox 14 part # Y07192 which would work really well.
