I have a super easy and really great performing brake controller solution I can recommend for your 2020 Toyota Tacoma with the Curt Echo Mobile part # C51180. Basically this just plugs into the active 7-way you have at the rear of your truck and once synced to your smart phone is ready to go. This is a proportional brake controller too which means it senses how hard you apply the truck brakes and applies a relative amount of braking to the trailer brakes.
