Does Curt Echo Brake Controller Require Old Brake Controller to be Disconnected
Published 02/27/2020 >
Question:
I have a older style prodigy brake controller in my truck. Will that interfere with the use of the curt wireless controller? Do I have to disconnect my old controller to use this?

You do not have to disconnect your older brake controller to use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.
The wireless Echo will override a wired brake controller because the Echo does not use the blue brake wire from the 7-way socket. If you are looking for convenience, the Echo is definitely the best choice and won't require you to do anything but set it up and plug it in.
I have added a link to the instruction manual as well as some video reviews for you to check out of the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.
