Have factory installatlion. With four pole connections attached to hitch through floor of trunk. No current coming through middle pole. If no broken wires which replacement do I need?

To replace the wiring harness on your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon I recommend using the Curt T-Connector # C56040. We have found these to be very reliable which is reflected in the many great reviews on this. I am attaching an installation video of this on a 2018 Outback Wagon that you can check out.
Since there is only 1 function that isn't working (I believe you are referring to the yellow wire which would be for left turn/stop) I recommend locating where your OEM wiring harness is connected (refer to install video) and then testing the pins to make sure that the left turn/stop function is working properly on your vehicle side of things. If you use a circuit tester # PTW2979 and you don't get a signal on your car connection side then you'll either need to install a universal wiring harness that splices in behind your tail lights or take your Outback Wagon to your nearest dealer so they can fix the OEM wiring.
