Will the Ram Topwing Gooseneck Coupler Inner Tube Work With Another Coupler

Can just the inner tube be replaced with the inner tube from etrailer Gooseneck Trailer Coupler - GCSQTW-30008? I’d like a simpler coupler without having to cut and weld.

The Gooseneck Trailer Coupler part # LL2516ST and Ram Gooseneck Coupler part # GCSQTW-30008 both have a 4" wide inner tube with similar topwind handle. Therefore, in theory you should be able to swap the inner tube out between one another. That said, there is no way to confirm this as there are more moving parts than just the handle and inner tube and since they are different manufactures one could have used different components that the other making the two incompatible. I spoke with RAM and they informed that the hardest part would be figuring out the handle and threaded rod but if you are up for the task I would say there is a good chance it will work I just can't confirm it for the reasons above.
