Hitch Recommendation for 2020 Jayco Jay Feather 27RL for Carrying 2 Bike Rack
Updated 02/25/2020 | Published 02/24/2020 >
Question:
I have a 2020 Jayco Jay Feather 27rl travel trailer and I would like to add a 2in. rear hitch receiver so I can use my 2-bike carrier, total weight will be around 125 lbs. I dont want to use a bumper mount. Can you suggest a hitch for me? Also what are your thoughts on welding vs. bolt-on options? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The RV hitch we recommend the most for applications like your 2020 Jayco Jay Feather 27RL is the Curt # 13703 as it fits the widest frame width range of 22 to 72 inches, fits all frame styles, and also can weld or bolt on. It has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity as well. This would be a really great option for you and if you are comfortable welding it on that would be the way to go.
I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
