Question:
I have an older Cannondale bike with a large top tube and am wondering what is the largest diameter top tube that will fit in the TH45JV bike carrier? Thanks!

With the strap in place on the cradles on the 2 outside holes, the distance from the bottom of the cradle to the strap is approximately 3-1/4 inches. The width of the cradle at the widest point is approximately 1-3/4 inches.
The distance from the cradle to the strap is a little misleading because if a frame was slightly larger, it could still fit because the straps are rubber and they will stretch. I have included some informational links on this bike rack for you to view.
If the top tube is at an angle, I recommend using the bike adapter bar # TH982XT and you will not have to worry about the dimensions of the frame. I have included a link to a video that shows how the adapter works.
