Question:
If this model #31408 does not work with a tube type bumper what is your recommendation for a front hitch for a 2006 wrangler unlimited with the tube type bumper.

The recommended front mounted trailer hitch receiver for a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a tube style bumper is the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31028.
Just keep in mind the bumper does need to be the OEM factory bumper for the hitch to fit. I have added a link to the installation instructions for you to check out as well.
