Is the Kuat Bike Rack Hitch Lock the Only Hitch Pin Lock That Works on Kuat Beta Rack

Question:

Is this the only pin lock that works with the Kuat Beta? Reading the one review regarding the loose fit concerns me.

Yes, most bike rack manufacturers will use an exclusive size and thread on the hitch lock for their own brand of bike racks. So, the Kuat bike racks will only be able to use the # HL1 for a hitch pin lock.

We have not run into any problems with the Kuat hitch lock not fitting properly on a Kuat hitch bike rack. The review you mentioned does not say if he was using the Kuat hitch lock on a Kuat bike rack. If he was using it on a different brand of bike rack that used a 1/2 inch hitch lock then it would be a loose fit because the Kuat pin size is 5/16 inch.
