Question:
I have a SpaceKap Compak for my truck and I want to install a low profile fan, but need a return so that there is proper air flow/return. What do you recommend and where would you place the return suction?

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke part # MA00-06200K that you looked at will be a great choice and will move a lot of air for you. As far as proper venting goes you can install a couple of the Valterra Louvered Battery Box Cone Vent Cover - Black part # A10-3300BK on your bulkhead between the cab and the bed this is a fairly protected area from road spray and dirt and such and is just a one sided vent that would allow plenty of flow.
If installed there I would install the fan closer to the rear so you would be getting a cross breeze drawing air from the front and pushing it out the back or drawing it in the back and pushing it out of the front depending on whether you have it the exhaust or intake modes.
I've included links to the videos we have done here to check them out.
