Best Replacement For Fantastic Vent Model 810040 On A 2017 Tiffin Phaeton
Updated 08/05/2026 | Published 07/28/2026 >
Question:
I have a 2017 Tiffin Phaeton and my bath fan needs a complete new assembly. The current unit is a Fantastic Item 810040 and model number FV4176LWUSD80. Do you sell a model that is a direct replacement? Also, my vent covers are Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra-Breeze and no matter how I adjust them the vent hood hits the inside of the Ultra-Breeze cover before the vent finishes opening. Is there a better choice that will allow these vents to fully open? Thank you

Hey Brian, thanks for reaching out. I do have a replacement vent for you, but the Fantastic Vent 810040 is an older model that has been discontinued. We do have a similar vent with all the same features though. Here is what I recommend:
MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke # MA00-07500K
This has the same 12v fan, only this one has 10 speeds. It comes with a remote and has a powered lift. It has a built in rain shield too, so you'll always get maximum airflow and you wont have to worry about the lid opening all the way. The vent fits a standard 14x14 roof opening, so it will work with the cutout you already have.
Where do you mostly camp with your Phaeton?

I agree with Bill. I had a fan cover on my bathroom fan, just a standard 1 speed noisy, ineffective unit. The cover helped so I could leave it open going down the road. But my wife and most of my grandchildren couldn't reach the button. The remote is great. I just mounted it on the right side of my bathroom sink and all can reach it. The fan is great and would buy it again if my living room fan goes out.

One of our best adds to the RV. In fact put them on both the bathroom and main room. No more puddles if it rains just let them run. No worries if you head down the road with them open and on they won't break off....voice of experience! Remotes are great especially for my height challenged wife. Put them on, you won't regret it.
