Can Valterra Replacement Cable be Used with Lasalle Bristol RV Waste Valve

I have a Lasalle Bristol waste gate that works but the area where the cable thread thru the chassis has deteriorated. Can I replace just the cable with a valterra cable into a Lasalle gate? It looks like a closed system.

I don't see why a replacement Valterra Cable like part # TC72PB wouldn't work as a replacement for your Lasalle Bristol valve but officially it hasn't been tested so we can't say with total certainty. We've asked Valterra this in the past and this is what they told us.
