Taillight Kit Recommendation for 80 inch Wide Boat Trailer
Published 01/24/2020 >
Question:
I guess I was mostly wondering why the lights for over 80 inch wide trailers are a thing. They dont seem any different. What additional lights would need to be used if using tail lights for under 80 inch wide trailers on an over 80 inch wide trailer? Or can you even do that?

Trailers that are over 80 inches in width have different lighting requirements since due to their size. More marker lights are needed so that other motorists can easily identify the trailer. Not only does it help with safety for your and other motorist's sake it also is required by law.
For a trailer like yours that is over 80 inches in width and less than 30 feet in length. I attached a picture that shows all of the requirements your trailer would have based on dimensions and capacity. So for a light kit that is submersible like you'd need since it's a boat trailer the # TL16RK would be a really great option.
