To install the EcoHitch 306-X7332 on my 2020 Volkswagen Golf R, will I need to cut the bumper cover?

Per the instructions included with the EcoHitch # 306-X7332, the bumper fascia will need to be notched, a 3 x 3-1/4 inch section would need to be removed, as seen in the photo I've provided.
