The Thule Flat Top Ski Carrier 724 works with crossbars up to 1-1/8" tall x 3-3/4" wide. I don't have any specs on the factory Volvo crossbars but if they meet these guidelines then it will fit. If the factory Volvo crossbars are over 1-1/8" which is rather likely then you can purchase the Thule Xadapt7 Xsporter Load Bar Adapter for Ski Racks part # THXADAPT7.
In summary, the Thule Flat Top Ski Carrier 724 should work with factory crossbars no problem if you get the Thule Xadapt7 Xsporter Load Bar Adapter for Ski Racks.
