I am building a trailer, I have 7,000lb tandem axles, with 29.5inch 6 leaf slipper springs, 16inch wheels. Is this the hanger kit I need or would you recommend another?

Yes. You can use the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # AP216-H238 with your 29.5" Slipper Springs # e39SR; you'll want to make sure that you space your axles 35-1/8" apart (center on center) when assembling your trailer to correctly fit the # SP-161275 springs and the # AP216-H238 hanger kit.
The # AP216-H238 kit comes with everything you need to mount your leaf springs including the hangers, equalizers and mounting hardware. You'll want to make sure that the hangers are installed by a certified welder.
