2018 Ford Raptor Suspension Enhancement Recommendation

Updated 12/23/2019 | Published 12/21/2019

Question:

I am looking for air bags to occasionally tow my boat which is 7800 pounds total weight including trailer, fuel and gear. Tongue weight is approximately 725 pounds. My goal is to minimize sag and most importantly no impact to ride quality when not towing and no load. I have heard that 5000 pound capacity air bags are overkill and will negatively impact the unloaded ride quality making the suspension feel stiffer. I have also heard that a 2000 pound capacity air bag will do the job and will not change the unloaded ride quality when reduced to 5 pounds of air in the bags. Is that accurate and if so what air bags are compatible for a 2018 Ford Raptor that has a 2000 pound rating ? I am leaning toward air bags because I also occasionally load the bed and would like to reduce sag in those times as well. I am trying to avoid a weight distribution hitch due to the extra steps associated with hooking up the trailer. I would prefer to it on the hitch and go if that option is available via air bags. ALL the other options I have looked at seem to impact the unloaded ride quality which is a no go for me.

We actually don't have air bag suspension enhancement that fits your 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor (couldn't find any other places that do either), but we do have adjustable suspension enhancement that will work really well for what you are wanting. For that you'd want the part # RAS3611 which gives you up to 2,000 of additional support, isn't harsh like some options are, improves handling, and is adjustable by changing the spring tension. This would definitely be your best option!
