Question:
I have a 07 F250 diesel truck with a weight distribution hitch. I want an easy-to-use lock for the hitch that can withstand living outside. Can you compare this to e98882 receiver lock in terms of which is more likely to fit and work easily? Thanks!

The Master Lock Trailer Lock, # 1480DAT, and our etrailer.com Hitch Receiver Lock, # e98882, are similar locks in the sense that they have the same fit applications (2 inch hitch receivers) and build material (stainless steel). Both locks are highly rated by our customers.
The main difference between these two locks are the swivel head of the Master Lock and the side facing head of the DeadBolt lock. The swivel head feature from Master Lock allows for easier access when you need to remove or insert the hitch pin.
I would recommend going with the Master Lock receiver lock, # 1480DAT. As someone who frequently tows trailers, I can tell you that the swivel head is much easier to use, especially if you have to unhook at night or in poor weather. You will not have to try to feel for the lock and you can see the lock face when visibility is limited.
I have attached a review video of the Deadbolt receiver lock for you to check out.
