Question:

I would like to buy a 3 bike trunk bike rack for my 2009 Acura MDX and was wondering what you would recommend? It would be nice if the rack mounted on the Acura easily, but more importantly, it'd be nice to be able to put bikes on and take them off quickly and easily. Thank you!!

The Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack, # Y02638, would be an excellent choice for your 2009 Acura MDX. Of the trunk mounted options that are available for your vehicle this one is among the easiest to install and remove and will allow you to attach the bikes easily.

Using a trunk mount bike rack on your 2009 Acura MDX would require you to remove the rack each time you needed to access the back of the vehicle. For this reason I recommend using a trailer hitch and hitch mounted bike rack.

My recommendation would be the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75614, along with a hitch bike rack, like the Yakima RidgeBack # Y02458. After initial installation the bike rack would be easy to install and remove and you would have access to the back of the vehicle without removing the bike rack each time.

If you plan on carrying womens or alternative framed bikes I would recommend you get a Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter Bar # Y02531. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also.
