Is There a Way to Allow Trailer Tires to Last a Longer Time

Question:
The Karriers have a higher load rating of 2200lbs at 75 psi compared to the Goodyear Endurance of 2,040 at 65psi. The Kenda tires are made in Asia and the Goodyear are made here in the US and claim to have a special polybutylene inner liner to prevent air loss . My questions are 1 Are the Asian made Kendas truly rates to spec ? Or are those numbered fudged in any way? 2 If the kendas are trilateral rated as spec’d can I assume that the more heavy duty construction resulting in the higher load capacity and psi makes it a longer lasting tire strictly age wise, not by putting miles on them ? Or is the rubber materials and craftsmanship of the US made Goodyear’s make them a more durable, longer lasting product again with respect to longevity of time and resistance to sidewalk cracking and etc, not wear by mileage

Typically trailer tires only last between 4 and 6 years due to dry rotting issues like you hinted at. It's surprisingly rare for them to wear out instead of "age" out. While I really like the quality of the USA made Goodyears and the Kendas we can't guarantee one is going to last you a longer time. If you protect the tires with covers like the SnapRing TireSavers Tire Covers part # ST7000BK they will last as long as possible. But even if either tire looks good we are going to strongly recommend they get replaced at the 6 year mark.
But if someone forced me to bet on which brand would last longer I would go with the Goodyears # 724864519.
