Can You Leave One Axle Unsupported For Long Periods of Time with EZ Jack?
Published 11/21/2019 >
Question:
So an answer said i can level my tandem axel with just one wheel. This will leave the other suspended sometimes for 2 weeks at a time. Is this acceptable? I wish you would design a smaller version for leveling up to maybe 4” and short enough to fit between the tires so you could use 2 and support both tires. I looked at the plastic ones but the reviews ran me away due to cracks and braking.

You can use the EZ Jack # EZ-JACK on a tandem axle trailer while only supporting one of the axles, but for long periods of time like that I recommend using one under each axle so that they are both supported for the extended period and you won't have to worry about damaging anything. My concern would be that over a 2 week period of time the weight of your axles unsupported would create un-needed strain on the hangers, equalizers and leaf springs that they are not designed for.
